Mr. Morihara’s practice focuses on representing several major electric, telecommunications, sewer and water companies regulated by the Hawaii Public Utilities Commission. Mr. Morihara has extensive experience in the sale and transfer of public utilities, renewable and clean energy initiatives and requirements, applications for rate increases, expansion of service territories, tariff changes, facility siting expansions and relocations, regulation and deregulation activities, and obtaining approvals for various regulated expenditures and financing. Mr. Morihara also represents clients in natural and water resources, real estate, leasing and general business matters.
